The BCITSA is the student association dedicated to serving the diverse needs of BCIT students and engaging their education. We work tirelessly to enhance the student experience through a variety of programs, services, and events. Think of BCITSA as your go-to resource for everything from academic support to social activities, all designed to make your time at BCIT productive and enjoyable.

Here are some of the standout services we offer:

Student Advocacy and Support: Navigating the complexities of academic life can be challenging. BCITSA provides advocacy services to help students understand their rights and responsibilities, offering support in academic appeals, misconduct cases, and more.

Career Kickstarter: Jumpstart your career with resume workshops, networking events, and career counselling to ease the transition from student to professional.

Clubs and Activities: Whether you’re into robotics, anime, or gaming, there’s likely a club for you. And if there isn’t, BCITSA encourages students to start their own!

Events that Engage

BCITSA hosts various events that unite the community, fostering a sense of belonging and fun. There’s always something happening on campus, from the annual Winter Fest to industry networking nights to holiday pub events.

Get Involved!

All students are members of their student association. However, there are many ways to become more involved. We encourage you to participate in governance by running for a student council position (keep a look out for more information in February). Or if you are just getting started, consider becoming a set rep.

There are also opportunities throughout the year to volunteer at various events or even get paid to contribute to the student magazine Link!.
