Come relax at the Zen Lounge Massage Clinic offered year-round in partnership with the Vancouver Career College Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program. The program is designed to enable BCIT students to receive a free 50-minute or 30-minute massage treatment and the RMT students to develop their clinical competencies. If this is your first time visiting Zen Lounge Massage Clinic, please read the Zen Lounge Terms of Service and complete the Intake Form. Then click here to sign up for a massage appointment between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm on most Fridays at the BCIT Burnaby Campus.
Come learn a new skill and release your inner Picasso with Brush It Off Paint Night at the Habitat pub! We provide the paint, brushes, aprons, canvases, and you get to take your masterpiece home. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Student Association Centre. Limited spaces available so sign up early! Due to the location, this is a 19+ event.
Question Persuade Refer Suicide Intervention training is a 1.5 hour workshop that will equip you with the skills to support someone who is experiencing suicidal thoughts. In this training the facilitators will teach you how to recognize the warning signs, ask the question that could save a life and connect to appropriate services. Do you want to learn how to cook healthy meals and gain confidence in the kitchen? Then register to join the BCIT Student Association’s Community Cooking Class, a hands on FREE cooking class where you can learn how to cook from an instructor AND enjoy a free delicious meal with other BCIT students. Classes are held at Burnaby Community Services, steps away from Brentwood Skytrain station!

Speak Up Speak Out (SUSO)
1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental illness in their life but 5 in 5 Canadians will be impacted by this experience. That’s why we work to eliminate stigma, increase awareness and create an inclusive, caring campus each year with our Speak Up Speak Out campaign from September 30-Oct 4.
White Rose Day
On Dec 6th, 1989, 14 female students at École Polytechnique in Montreal were killed in a tragic act of violence against women. Join us on December 6th to commemorate those whose lives have been lost to gender-based violence and take part in activities to learn what you can do to create a safer community.
Bell Let’s Talk
Join us as we keep the convo going about mental health so that we can take another step towards a mentally healthy, stigma-free country. Be on the look out for the Wellness team giving out free swag, inviting you to join the convo and to take a moment to take care of your mental wellness.
International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHTB)
Celebrate the diversity of sexual and gender identities in our community for the annual IDAHTB Day on May 17. We’ve got resources for members of the community as well as allies and did we mention a pride inspired rainbow coloured candy bar?
Come and join other students, staff, alumni and community members in celebrating pride all year round. there will be pizza and board games. Drop in anytime, all are welcome! 2019 dates: Oct 2nd and Nov 20th.
Pink Shirt Day (PSD)
On February 27, 2019, wear pink to show your support for anti-bullying. Each year we take a BCIT photo, have a resource fair and workshops to learn more!
