Link Magazine

50 years ago The Link newspaper launched on BCIT’s campus as an expression of student ideas, opinions and culture. Today, LINK has grown into a multimedia platform that includes both digital and printed content, produced by a network of student staff and contributors, published in Burnaby by the BCIT Student Association. Through online discourse and a monthly full-colour print edition distributed free to all 5 campuses, LINK continues to represent the minds of today’s students and helps to create a cultural connection on campus.

LINK’s student editors represent a diverse BCIT community and bring unique viewpoints to every issue. Becoming an editor is a great opportunity to earn money, gain leadership experience in media, and practice self-expression. Our editors work closely with every LINK contributor to provide constructive feedback and help students hone their skills. Student contributors whose work is published in our print edition or online at are paid a modest fee for their work and may be provided with digital samples to add to their career portfolios. We also accept BCIT student practicums at various times throughout the year.
