Whether you’re an alumnus, getting ready to graduate, or are just starting your program, this tech-focused career event is an opportunity to meet one-to-one with hiring managers and industry professionals. Use this event to get to know local employers, find out what jobs they hire BCIT grads for, and gain industry insights on the hiring process and employer needs. Employers from diverse sectors will attend, so students from a variety of disciplines are encouraged to attend!

Preparation Tips

Put your best foot forward at this career fair by following our tips for a successful experience:

  1. Have a look at the list of employers below and research your target companies
  2. Determine your goals (which employers to talk to, what information to gather, what job positions to target, etc.)
  3. Create or review your personal pitch and how you want to introduce yourself
  4. Prepare a few questions to ask your target employers
  5. Prepare your answers for the potential questions that employers might ask you
  6. Tailor resumes for specific positions being recruited for
  7. Book an appointment with a Career Specialist to go over your Industry Days Strategy
  8. Get familiar with what employers are expecting at the event and how to understand their perspectives
  9. Make sure you know what to do after an event
