DTC WORKSHOP – Canadian Workplace Culture – October 25, 2019

Working in Canada requires the ability to communicate effectively in diverse groups of people and understand the expectations and values Canadian employers have. Successful employees in Canada adapt to the unique customs and standards of their industry. Be sure that you can demonstrate the professional qualities that employers in Canada are looking for. This workshop will help you:

• Identify customs and expectations common in Canadian workplaces
• Recognize the unique values that Canadian employers have
• Plan to adapt to the specific culture of your industry and occupation
• Find information on BC Employment Standards and what your rights are
• Understand the concept of “the right fit” for a company
