Build Your Brand at BCIT
BCIT Student Association offers unique opportunities to build your brand on campus. Our members are BCIT students, so we know what students want and we know how to reach them. Connect with the future workforce and contact us to discuss your branding strategy at BCIT.
Sponsorship is an excellent way to build your brand on campus and to increase brand recognition. Establish your company as an employer of choice or market your products and services on campus.
Employers are invited to sponsor Career Services events such as Industry Days, Industry Connections Events, and Industry Week. The SA also provides sponsorship opportunities related to the many social events hosted on campus throughout the school year, such as Frosh Fest celebrations and health and wellness events.

- Student Handbook Advertising – every student that visits the SA Centre gets a copy of the annual Student Handbook and the Handbook is distributed widely across all BCIT campuses (11,000 copies printed each year). The handbook is revised each spring. Employers and companies who would like to advertise in the handbook are encouraged to contact our marketing department in April.

Employer Information Sessions ($300)
Employer Information Sessions are company presentations geared towards students and alumni from specific programs. These sessions are designed to make students aware of employment opportunities open to them upon graduation and are an excellent way to market your company to students, alumni and new grads. Job Postings (free)
Career Track is an online job portal exclusive to BCIT students and alumni. Employers post jobs for free. Career Track allows students and alumni to upload their resumes and cover letters and apply for jobs directly online. Career Services further markets job postings to students and alumni by sending out targeted job e-blasts. Job e-blasts feature new Career Track postings and are targeted to students and alumni from relevant BCIT programs.

Industry Days ($500)
Industry Days Career Fairs are industry-specific recruiting events as well as an opportunity to build your brand on campus. Employers must be actively recruiting. Our events are intimate events where employers and students can interact and discuss job openings. Industry Days events in 2018-19 are:

Tech Industry Days – January 21st, 2020 from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm @ BCIT Burnaby Campus

Business Industry Days – January 23rd, 2020 from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm@ BCIT Burnaby Campus
Hiring Fair Industry Days – March 31st, 2020 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm @ BCIT Burnaby Campus

Recruitment Table ($200)
Recruitment tables are a very effective way to sell immediate job openings to students. Set up a recruitment table in a high traffic area on campus and connect with students while promoting your business. Recruitment tables are most effective when employers are outgoing and actively reaching out to students with opportunities. Recruitment tables are available throughout the year although it’s best to avoid mid-terms and finals. A Career Specialist can guide you on the best time to reach your target student group.

The Mentorship Program is based out of the BCIT Student Association’s Career Services and Entrepreneurial Services departments. We are very excited to be able to offer students at BCIT the opportunity to be mentored by professionals in Metro Vancouver to gain business insight and hone the soft skills that will ultimately lead to their professional success. Through the Mentorship Program, we offer two streams: Career Mentorship and Entrepreneurial Mentorship.
Share their experience in career development and work-life balance and help their mentee gain a better understanding of employer expectations, job requirements, and accessing the hidden job market. Career mentors are typically matched with final year students from a related field.
Share their business development experience and provide guidance and support to their mentee as the mentee develops their entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. Entrepreneurial mentors are typically matched with students/alumni that are in the idea development phase or have a business that has been in operation for no longer than two years.
