Build Your Brand at BCIT

BCIT Student Association offers unique opportunities to build your brand on campus. Our members are BCIT students, so we know what students want and we know how to reach them. Connect with the future workforce and contact us to discuss your branding strategy at BCIT.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship is an excellent way to build your brand on campus and to increase brand recognition. Establish your company as an employer of choice or market your products and services on campus.

Employers are invited to sponsor Career Services events such as Industry Days, Industry Connections Events, and Industry Week. The SA also provides sponsorship opportunities related to the many social events hosted on campus throughout the school year, such as Frosh Fest celebrations and health and wellness events.

Advertise at BCIT

  • Build a strong presence at BCIT through the following advertising opportunities:
    • Student Handbook Advertising – every student that visits the SA Centre gets a copy of the annual Student Handbook and the Handbook is distributed widely across all BCIT campuses (11,000 copies printed each year). The handbook is revised each spring. Employers and companies who would like to advertise in the handbook are encouraged to contact our marketing department in April.
    • LINK Magazine Advertising (Print & Web)
    • Room Sponsorship & Rental
    • Digital Signs & Advertising
    • Web Banners

Employer Information Sessions ($300 +tax)

Employer Information Sessions are company presentations geared towards students and alumni from specific programs. These sessions are designed to make students aware of employment opportunities open to them upon graduation, and are an excellent way to market your company to students, alumni and new grads.

Industry Spotlight Days ($300 +tax)

Industry Spotlight Days happen one to two times a month between September and April at BCIT. Industry Spotlight Days feature a full day of industry-themed Employer Info Sessions.  Contact Career Services to learn more about when employers from your industry will be on campus, or see the Upcoming Events page on our website

Networking Events ($500 + Catering + tax)

Career Services organizes industry-specific networking events to provide a professional and comfortable environment for students and employers to connect. We customize networking events to your needs.

Recruit BCIT Students

BCITSA Career Services offers a direct link to BCIT students and alumni and we work to help employers meet their HR and hiring needs. If you don’t see a service that suits your needs, please call us and we would be happy to discuss how we can work together.

Job Postings (free)

Career Track is an online job portal exclusive to BCIT students and alumni. Employers post jobs for free. Career Track allows students and alumni to upload their resumes and cover letters and apply for jobs directly online.  Career Services further markets job postings to students and alumni by sending out targeted job e-blasts. Job e-blasts feature new Career Track postings and are targeted to students and alumni from relevant BCIT programs.

Recruitment Assistance

BCITSA Career Services understands the skills and competencies of BCIT students and how they fit into the labour market. We help employers tap into these skills. If you aren’t sure how to write a job description or a job posting, we can help. Contact us to discuss your recruitment needs.

Recruitment Table ($200+ tax)

Recruitment tables are a very effective way to sell immediate job openings to students. Set up a recruitment table in a high traffic area on campus and connect with students while promoting your business. Recruitment tables are most effective when employers are outgoing and actively reaching out to students with opportunities. Recruitment tables are available throughout the year although it’s best to avoid mid-terms and finals. A Career Specialist can guide you on the best time to reach your target student group.

Testimonials

I know that a lot of the times it’s easy to get stuck in the 9-to-5 grind and to put yourself in cruise control, so being able to properly reflect on what it means to work in the industry with a mentee really helps me put my goals and my values into perspective; lately I’ve found that I started taking a lot of the same advice that I’ve been offering to my mentee! –Aaron

Sarah McKay, Unbounce – We were extremely impressed with how well-run and professional it ran.

Midwest Surveys – BCITSA Career Services offers event planning and advertising targeted for the student body that Midwest Surveys Inc. needs to attract and recruit. Based on our experience, we would recommend working with the Career Services staff for any recruitment campaign’s that your organization is undertaking. The Career Specialists are knowledgeable and work hard to establish and develop a relationship between the student body and the employer’s they work with.

Rafael Rozon, Computer Systems Technology Diploma graduate 2015  – The Career Services of the Student Association have helped me a lot with cover letters, résumés, interviews, suggestions, and advice for my job hunt. All staff are very skilled, resourceful, and up to date with the market. Besides that, they have good online resources that address the demands of the industry. I strongly suggest students use these services.”

Chris Lo, City of Burnaby – Kudos to you and your team!   It was great meeting you in-person.   Everything was well organized and seemed to go smoothly. It was great connecting with the students and learning more about their experiences and what they are looking for.

S. West, Lower Mainland Medical Imaging – It was a pleasure to attend the event.  I was impressed by the level of engagement the attendees ‎had and the high level of questions asked. Please keep me in mind for future events.
