Face-to-face time with employers can be extremely helpful when you’re looking for a job. It gives you an opportunity to show them how you stand out, which is a lot harder to communicate through a resume, especially since hundreds of other people are applying. BCITSA’s Career Fair gave me an opportunity to talk to Ensemble directly. It felt like a good fit, and we went ahead with the job application process within a few days after the fair.
Our DTC resident Career Specialist helped me prepare for the interviews and job hunting in general. Looking for a job can be really stressful and time consuming, especially doing it while you’re still in school. Having someone experienced guide you through the process is invaluable.
