Welcome to BCITSA Entrepreneurship

About Us

The BCIT Student Association is proud to offer Entrepreneurship support to BCIT students and alumni. Our programming was developed in response to student demand and our aim is to engage students and alumni in a culture of entrepreneurial thinking, learning and development. Through our programs and services, we hope to inspire potential entrepreneurs, provide opportunities for exploration, and connect BCIT entrepreneurs to additional resources on and off campus.

Come visit us at the Summit Centre – the home of entrepreneurship on campus!

Connecting people, ideas, and resources drive me, and I am enthusiastic to support BCIT students and alumni through entrepreneurship development. With a background in broadcast journalism and human resources (learning and development), I strongly believe in the value of entrepreneurial education and training to empower individuals with the competencies and skills required to succeed as an entrepreneur. I look forward to working with you, whether you want to become an entrepreneur, or to develop an entrepreneurial mindset to create value in whatever position you are working in. My aim is to provide you with positive, engaging and blended learning experiences in a student-centered joyful learning environment so that you can easily retain and apply what you learn and are able to accelerate your growth. I am a graduate of BCIT’s human resources diploma program and hold a bachelor’s degree in business communication (NWU).

With a background in social enterprise management and community economic development, I believe in the power of entrepreneurship to create change and impact lives. Prior to starting at the BCIT Student Association I worked with several start-up businesses and non-profits, doing everything from operations management to sales, and specializing in strategic growth and development. A graduate of UBC’s Sauder MBA program, I have experience with start-up accelerators and I am inspired by the many passionate entrepreneurs I have had the opportunity to meet. I am excited to work with BCIT students and alumni to help their businesses grow and succeed.
